Essential Functions (Job Duties)
The Department of African American Studies at Wayne State University is hiring a tenure-track Assistant Professor.
Essential Functions:
Undergraduate teaching, research, and service.
Teach the department's introductory courses along with higher-level electives.
Other duties as assigned.
Unique Duties
Qualifications
A Ph.D. conferred in African American Studies or Ethnic Studies is expected by the time of appointment.
The department strongly prefers candidates who have a clear and compelling independent research agenda in the social sciences with a primary focus on Africa and/or the Caribbean.
