SUNY Delhi seeks a dynamic, forward thinking, and engaging Faculty member to join the School of Nursing starting Fall 2022. This position provides instruction within the faculty role for the Associate Degree Nursing program.

Primary responsibilities of faculty members include teaching assigned courses within the School of Nursing, maintaining regular office hours, participation in assessment of courses, student learning, and program outcomes as well as incorporating service learning opportunities. 

Program Development

  • Participate in annual systematic assessment of program
  • Participate in analyzing data and makes recommendations for curriculum and programmatic revisions where necessary

Teaching Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based instruction in accordance with the policies set forth by the College
  • Post and keep regular office hours for the convenience of students
  • Participate in the assessment of course, student learning, and program outcomes
  • Incorporate student service learning opportunities

Advisement

  • Assist in advisement of students
  • Guide and counsel students toward personal and career development
  • Track student's completion of progression requirements

Academic & Organization Commitment

  • Serve on campus committees
  • Mentor Adjunct Faculty
  • Special Projects
  • Participate in faculty meetings
  • Participate in accreditation reviews and reports
  • Engage in the academic and organizational life of the college
  • Pursue scholarly interests

 Requirements:

  • MSN degree or matriculation into a MSN program
  • Unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse in NYS, or eligible to achieve licensure prior to appointment
  • 2 years teaching experience in a nursing program
  • Valid unrestricted drivers license 
  • Enthusiasm for teaching undergraduate Nursing students is of the utmost importance
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong attention to detail; and computer skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience teaching courses at the college level, or in a clinical nursing area
  • Demonstrated ability to teach diverse populations
