The Department of Computer Science invites applications for a
postdoctoral or more senior research position in Computational
Cognitive Science, under the direction of Tom Griffiths. Ph.D. is
required. Applicants should have a background in cognitive science
or a related discipline such as computer science or psychology,
with a research agenda focused on using mathematical,
computational, and behavioral methods to understand the nature of
human intelligence. Topics of particular interest are applying
machine learning to understanding human decision-making,
computational approaches to bounded rationality, representation
learning for reinforcement learning, and distributed computation as
a model for collaboration and cultural evolution. Applications will

accomplishments and their fit with ongoing research projects in the
