Graduate Counseling Faculty

Waynesburg University is seeking candidates for a full-time, 12 month,  faculty position for the Graduate Counseling Program. A PhD in counselor education is required. Additionally, applicants must hold or be eligible for licensure as a professional counselor in Pennsylvania.  Evidence of quality teaching, scholarly research, clinical experience and strong supervision skills is required. Responsibilities of this position include teaching graduate-level courses at the master’s level and doctoral level across the Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Addictions Counseling and the Counselor Education and Supervision programs; supervising practicum and internship experiences, advising master’s and doctoral level students, engaging in scholarly activities, and providing service to the department, the university, and the counseling profession at the state, regional and/or national level. The position will be responsible for teaching a variety of courses in the areas of curricular experience required by CACREP to prepare all counselors and counselor educators. Successful candidates must demonstrate a strong Christian faith, a commitment to the University’s Mission and a demonstrated commitment to that faith, through his/her professional responsibilities, relationships and the mentoring of students.
