The Digital Marketing Strategist is an expert in the landscape of digital marketing platforms and is responsible for making strategy recommendations, developing plans, and leading implementation of a digital marketing plan that aligns organic digital marketing strategies with paid digital advertising strategies. The Strategist is creative, skilled at brainstorming, deadline-driven, detail-obsessed, organized, and methodical.

Proficient in both analyzing data and creating content, the Strategist serves as team lead for development and implementation of a search engine optimization (SEO) plan and has advanced expertise in SEO, content strategy, social media, search engine marketing, display advertising, mobile technology, website management, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, and more, in order to develop best-in-class digital strategies that enhance marketing and recruitment for targeted programs and student populations while ensuring a seamless, on-brand experience along the online admissions funnel.

The Digital Marketing Strategist identifies key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyzes performance to ensure that digital strategies are effectively achieving goals and to identify new opportunities for growth and improvement. The Strategist thoroughly understands all digital touch points that a prospective student or influencer may interact with and recommends and implements strategies and tactics to use these touch points to drive effective brand awareness, lead engagement, and conversion of quality prospective students in support of enrollment goals. This role collaborates closely with team members responsible for advertising, social media, and creative strategy to optimize performance and ensure brand alignment.

Required Qualifications

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in marketing, business administration, data analytics, communication, or a related field is required, along with comprehensive knowledge of digital channels and platforms for marketing and advertising. The successful candidate must have an understanding of, experience with, and interest in new technologies impacting the digital environment and must have experience with understanding and interpreting analytical information and developing content for digital environments to achieve performance goals, in collaboration with designers, writers, photographers, etc.

Candidates must have three or more years of experience in marketing/communications strategic planning and development focused on digital marketing strategy and implementation, including significant experience in search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), website development and management, digital display advertising, social media strategy, and online reputation management. Must have three or more years of advanced experience understanding and interpreting digital marketing data and key performance indicators (KPIs), such as Google Analytics data, and providing professional reports and presentations on performance data and campaign results, along with three or more years of content creation and management for digital delivery channels in collaboration with stakeholders.
