A successful candidate will play an active role in FMU's existing
academic success. The Associate Provost for Academic Affairs
(Associate Provost) reports directly to the Provost/Executive Vice
President for Academic Affairs (Provost) and is an active
participant in the administrative decision-making processes in the
Office of Academic Affairs. The Associate Provost is an
administrative appointment with non-tenure-track faculty status and
is a member of the Academic Council. This customer-centric role is
responsible to deliver service excellence support to meet the needs
of our University community. Demonstrates the professionalism

The Associate Provost:
Reports directly to the Provost and collaborates with faculty,
staff, and administrators from across the institution to fulfill
the institutional mission and strategic plan.
Assists the Provost in oversight of Institutional
Accreditation, Assessment, and State and Local Licensure to ensure
the institution’s alignment with all applicable standards and

Essential Functions :
Provides effective leadership in the process of internal and
external program review and quality assurance by supervising
accreditation reviews for the college and its programs, and
internal program viability reviews and action plans. Supports
curriculum development and leads program innovation and

Serves the college through the charging of committees as well
as committee involvement/sponsorship; and by developing and
engaging in co-curricular activities and events to engage the

Collects, compiles, compares, and analyzes the Academic
Pathway, Online learning, and Partnership Centers' budget trends to
maximize resource acquisition, expenditure, and allocations using
BC business intelligence tools as well as other data. Accurately
plans for budget needs during the college's budget planning cycle
in collaboration with senior leadership.
Leads the campus and Academic Pathway activities including the
promotion of professional self-development, participation, and
engagement with community partners such as advisory boards, local
area schools, internal constituencies, and their initiatives and
objectives relating to the mission and master plan of the

the enrollment team relative to institutional outcomes, including
retention and enrollment outcomes.

The position requires a master’s degree, but a doctorate degree
is strongly preferred.
7-10 years experience working in Academic Leadership at an
institution of higher education with exposure to a research
environment in a university context.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, LinkedIn Learning and knowledge
and understanding of the organizational structure, workflow, and
operating procedures. Familiar with Jenzabar technology suite or
similar student information system for higher education.
Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours.
