Job Description:
Champlain College is seeking to add an enthusiastic customer-centered team member to our staff. The Compass Service Representative serves as a primary contact to the diverse customers of Champlain College encompassing students, alumni, parents, faculty, and staff. Compass Student Services is the first stop for all business processes of being a student. Representatives maintain strong knowledge and understanding of Financial Aid, Registrar, and Student Accounts services in order to effectively answer questions and offer solutions to our customers.

You will be a member of a dynamic team of professionals that strives to provide exceptional and equitable customer service to all. The ideal candidate for this position will be an enthusiastic person with a positive attitude, a commitment to equity, and a desire for continuous improvement. You will be required to view all situations through a student-centric lens with the goal of consistently upgrading processes for our primary customers: our students.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide superior customer service to students, alumni, parents, faculty, and staff in a fast-paced environment. Maintain accurate records and confidentiality for all of our customers. 
  • Preserve a strong working knowledge and understanding of the Financial Aid, Registrar, and Student Account services through knowledge-sharing and training opportunities.
  • Learn and stay current on the basic understanding of the federal work-study program. 
  • Maintain working knowledge of technology and systems used in Compass Student Services.  
  • Continued training and professional development in customer service.

Requirements:

  • Previous One-Stop experience preferred
  • 2 years of customer service experience preferred
  • Call/Contact center experience preferred
  • Experience working in higher education preferred
