The Dine Policy Institute Director will design, lead, and facilitate the work of the Dine Policy Institute (DPI) and be responsible for the Institute’s operational success in accordance with Navajo Nation and Dine College’s mission, goals, and objectives.

Provide leadership and direction to Dine Policy Institute (DPI) staff in developing and implementing annual and strategic plan. Direct the daily operations of DPI. Prepare, monitor, and manage departmental and grant budgets. Lead grant writing and other fundraising efforts to sustain the Institute. Design and coordinate Research base on Dine Philosophy Initiatives at Dine College.

Minimum Qualification: Five (5) years experience in policy analysis, community development, research project management, and working with Navajo Nation government officials. Bachelors degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Social Sciences, and American Indian/Ethnic Studies or related fields.

Preferred Qualification: Research and policy experience. Masters or Doctorate degree.
