Visiting Assistant Professor of Sports Medicine

Pepperdine University's Seaver College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences, located in Malibu, California, invites applications for an appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor or Visiting Instructor of Sports Medicine for the 2022-2023 academic year.  With successful performance, the appointment may be renewed for subsequent academic years.  Applicants who have completed a Ph.D. in kinesiology or in an equivalent field, with an emphasis in at least one of the recognized subdisciplines of the exercise sciences by July 2022 are desired; however, candidates who have completed a M.S. degree and have prior teaching experience in the exercise sciences will be considered.

Successful candidates will actively contribute to a rigorous curriculum in the exercise sciences, with demonstrated advanced preparation for teaching undergraduate coursework in two or more of the following areas: human anatomy, human physiology, neuromuscular adaptations to strength training, biostatistics/research methods, health and disease, health and fitness, or exercise psychology. Well-equipped exercise science laboratories are available for teaching.
