The School of Engineering at Liberty University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Computational Engineering. The faculty are expected to conduct state-of-the-art research, teach undergraduate and/or graduate level courses, and serve the LUSOE. The duties for this appointment include:
- Assist in curriculum review and development
- Develop laboratories to support the engineering curriculum
- Create projects designed to enhance lectures
- Develop syllabi and review textbooks for adoption
- Propose and develop new courses as determined appropriate by the faculty
- Teach courses & advise and mentor students
- Actively participate and support SACS and ABET accreditation preparation
- Conduct state-of-the-art research
- Keep timely records of grades, grade papers, and perform other administrative duties as needed.
Required qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in Mechanical and/or Computational Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years’ research and teaching experience
- A recent record of peer-reviewed publications
- Personal faith commitment to the University’s evangelical Christian purpose
