The School of Engineering at Liberty University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Computational Engineering. The faculty are expected to conduct state-of-the-art research, teach undergraduate and/or graduate level courses, and serve the LUSOE.  The duties for this appointment include:

 

  • Assist in curriculum review and development
  • Develop laboratories to support the engineering curriculum
  • Create projects designed to enhance lectures
  • Develop syllabi and review textbooks for adoption
  • Propose and develop new courses as determined appropriate by the faculty
  • Teach courses & advise and mentor students
  • Actively participate and support SACS and ABET accreditation preparation
  • Conduct state-of-the-art research
  • Keep timely records of grades, grade papers, and perform other administrative duties as needed.

 

Required qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in Mechanical and/or Computational Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years’ research and teaching experience
  • A recent record of peer-reviewed publications
  • Personal faith commitment to the University’s evangelical Christian purpose
