Job Summary:
• Have expert knowledge of all degrees and certificates that are awarded and which degrees and certificates are encompassed within each academic concentration
• Have expert knowledge regarding the university transfer policy and provide training
• Evaluate transcripts from other accredited institutions, post transfer grades to academic records, post articulation agreements to academic records, update institution college codes as needed
• Maintain, update and train others in the use of the Degree Audit System database and participate in the implementation of policy and procedures regarding the operations
• Assist with the coordinating of TAGs, CLEP, OTM, AP credit through CEMS
• Work with Deans, Department Chairs and Administrators regarding new and existing courses in Banner and the Degree Audit System to ensure academic integrity and consistency throughout
• Provide accurate information to internal/external public concerning graduation, transferability of credits, and other general information; provide course descriptions of previous and current classes; maintain previous and current catalog and graduation information; provide statistical information
• Certify enrollment and complete degree verifications as requested
• Process registrations and withdrawals, drop/adds, enter FERPA, for all students
• Process status change forms (Major/Minor, Address, etc.)
• Provide accurate information to parents, students, staff, administrators and the general public regarding the university policies as they relate to the Office of the Registrar
• Attend meetings/workshops to represent the Office of the Registrar as designated
• Customer Service/Counter service
• Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications • A Bachelor’s Degree preferred (will accept some college with at least three years of experience in graduation credential review)
• Some exposure to Degree Audit Systems and procedures and BANNER is desirable
• Must possess strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Must possess a broad understanding and knowledge of the manner in which higher education functions Preferred Qualifications Must be computer literate
• Must have knowledge of PC and spreadsheet applications
• Must have the ability to organize and maintain a record keeping system
• Must have the ability to work closely and collaboratively with University personnel in the development and operation of the Degree Audit System
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be self-motivated and able to think independently
• Must be well organized and able to accomplish multiple tasks in a timely manner
• Previous experience with a Degree Audit System and BANNER is preferred but is not mandatory
