Position Description   This is a full-time, 12-month position in the Finance and Administration Division reporting directly to the Director of Financial Aid.

Implements, coordinates, directs and maintains Institutional scholarship programs, including preparation of new scholarship agreements, maintenance and monitoring of existing scholarship agreements, and maintaining regular contact with departments and students.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
·         Provide centralizes location for the publicizing and promoting scholarship opportunities: ·         Research, secure and promote internal and external scholarship opportunities: ·         Serve as liaison to external scholarship entities i.e. I Know I Can, Thurgood Marshall Fund, Ohio College Access Network etc. ·         Collaborate with Office of Institutional Advancement and academic units to promote scholarships and to identify potential scholarship recipients. ·         Collaborate with College of Education to promote and manage Teach Grant program. ·         Collaborate with STEM faculty and Center for Student Opportunities for STEM scholarships. ·         Collaborate with Financial Aid staff to post scholarship awards. ·         Provide assistance, to students with scholarship application process, including assistance with developing personal statements and essays as required. •        Advise prospective and enrolled students, parents, and community members on all aspects of financial aid. •        Assist students with completion of FAFSA application and CSU Scholarship application. •        Collaborate with the admissions department in the tracking of admissions and scholarship applications of new students. •        Manage budget for scholarship funds. •        Chair scholarship committee. •        Collaborate with the marketing department to design and produce various print and digital advertising for the scholarship program. •        Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Financial Aid. Minimum Qualifications ·         A bachelor’s degree in education, finance/business or related field. ·         Knowledge of national, regional and local scholarship programs and viable scholarship resources. ·         Two – Five years of experience working directly with college-aged young adults. ·         Knowing of University System of Ohio strategic priorities particularly access and affordability. ·         Familiar with unique financial literacy needs of first generation college students and their families. ·         Solid written and oral communication skills, including ability to present information to diverse audiences and constituencies. ·         Ability to multi- task, self-start, and collaborate with others. ·         Demonstrated ability to innovate, create and articulate new and exciting approaches to assigned task and duties. ·         Must be willing to work evening hours at least twice a week in order to provide full to accommodate student schedules. ·         Familiarity with Banner system and Microsoft software.
