Current Opening
Mount Aloysius College invites applications for a regular, full-time Mental Health Professional to provide in person and onsite counseling for undergraduate students. This is a 10-month, 40 hour per week position during the academic year with 20 additional workdays during the summer months.
The successful candidate will support student success and wellbeing through individual and group counseling that address a wide array of social, emotional, and vocational concerns as well as clinical diagnoses. Our Counselors are trusted, knowledgeable professionals who work as part of a collaborative team in the Student Health & Wellness Center, and the broader Student Affairs division. Counselors are also responsible to review and approve student requests for accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act; and provide mental health prevention and awareness programming.
Today’s mental health professionals are more important than ever as we emerge from the isolation and quarantine of COVID. Since the heaviest workload occurs during the academic year, summers bring a time of respite and rejuvenation for our counselors to reenergize and plan for the fall semester.
If you enjoy your profession, would love some down time in the summer months, and want to work with a fun and collaborative team, look no further. Apply today.
