Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Philosophy

Asian University for Women (AUW) located in Chittagong, Bangladesh invites applications for a 2-year post-doctoral fellowship funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.  Each selected fellow will be named as Andrew W. Mellon Foundation Fellow at AUW.  We are especially interested in political and moral philosophy or philosophy of science or Asian Philosophy.

The Mellon Fellows will work with AUW faculty and other Mellon Fellows in developing a new Humanities major that will have to be co-majored with a science field.  The Fellows will be expected to teach two courses each term.  

Applications must include a cover letter, CV, research statement, teaching statement, writing sample, proposed course description, sample syllabus, and at least three confidential letters of recommendation.

Salary will be Bangladesh tax-free.  Benefits include free housing and an annual paid home leave.
