Position Summary:
A-State Online is currently accepting applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Health Studies in the College of Nursing & Health Professions. This position is full-time (9 month), non-tenure-track to begin Fall 2022.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- In partnership with the BSHS Program Coordinator:
- Participates in development and evaluation of curriculum, course content, and test construction
- Delivers didactic courses online, and ensures online courses harmonize with face-to-face courses
- Provides leadership for the online program
- Continues education for professional growth
- Maintains virtual office hours
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Teaching ability in higher education in an online setting
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and
in writing
General Days/Hours:
Virtual position; no on-site presence required
Availability:
Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Responsible to the Chair of CLS

Minimum Qualifications:
1) An earned Masters Degree in Nursing or related field,
consistent with the degree offerings in the CNHP
2) At least five (5) years’ experience in a clinical health care
setting
3) At least three (3) years’ experience as an educator
4) At least three (3) years’ experience with teaching in an online
setting
