The Athletics department at UNC Asheville is an integral part of
the University committed to providing an exemplary NCAA Division I
Athletics Program that creates an environment where
student-athletes have high-impact learning experiences while
pursuing academic, athletic and lifelong goals, and engages the
University's internal and external constituents and communities.
Competing in the Big South Conference, UNC Asheville's Athletics
department strives to be nationally recognized for developing
"Champions in Athletics and Leaders in Life" by winning in the
classroom, community, and competition. The ideal candidate will
exhibit character traits of integrity, servant-leadership, work
ethic, creativity, and respect for others, and will be passionate
about working in college athletics. The Compliance and Academic
Success Coordinator, in conjunction with the Assistant Athletic
Directors of Compliance and Academic-Success within the Athletics
Department, provides academic advising and support services to the
university's student-athlete population and monitors progress
towards degree of Bulldog student-athletes. The student development
program is committed to supporting the academic progress of
student-athletes and the achievement of their educational
objectives. This position will support daily functions of NCAA
Compliance, SAAC, Student- Athlete Services, development of ongoing
programming for student athletes, academic support for
student-athletes, and other duties as assigned.
