FULL-TIME FACULTY POSIFION, INSTITUTE OF SOCIAL INNOVATION, NATIONAL SUN YAT-SEN UNIVERSITY

1. AREAS OF EXPERTISE: Relevant fields related to social science (Global governance, Science, technology and society (STS), Geography related fields are preferable)

2. QUALIFICATIONS

2.1. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in related fields from universities in or out of Taiwan.

2.2. Candidates must have excellent academic research experience and teaching ability in English.

2.3. Candidates must meet the requirements and regulations for Appointment Qualifications of Faculty at National Sun Yat-sen University. (Please consult the regulations at https://law.nsysu.edu.tw/rule/file/202107032355030621.pdf)

3. Documents required: Printed documents should be sent in duplicate as well as one document in PDF format (except recommendation letters) before the deadline.

3.2 Documents: Teacher certificates, degree certificates, transcript of records in Ph.D. program, academic honors certificates, etc. If the candidates hold a foreign academic degree, the documents need to be authenticated at the embassies or representative offices of Taiwan overseas.

3.3 Research record: It should include a list of publications (such as journal articles, conference proceedings, or book chapters) published in the last five years as well as its full text, along with the abstract, title and tables of content of the Ph.D. dissertation. Please note the relevancies of SSCI, SCI and TSSCI.

3.4 One copy of candidate’s representative work.

3.5 Course titles desired to teach.

3.6 Three letters of recommendation (The letters must be sent by recommenders to the Institute directly)

3.7 Relevant documents (such as the teaching evaluation) that help the assessment of your teaching ability.
