Job Details
Slippery Rock University invites applications for a temporary full-time instructor in the History Department for Fall 2022 and Spring 2023. Workload is 4 classes in the Fall and 4 classes in the Spring. Course load includes two sections of the US history survey and two upper division courses each semester. Must be able to teach Public History and another course in a similar area. Examples may include, digital history, oral history, museum studies. Ability to teach urban and/or environmental history a plus.
Minimum Qualifications
ABD, or PhD in History required with expertise in teaching U.S.
history and Public History.
Commitment to the education of diverse populations.
Successful performance in an interview and teaching
demonstration.
Preferred Qualifications
Digital History or another course in applied history.
