The Department of Physician Assistant Studies in the School of Health & Human Sciences at Indiana University invites applications for a 12-month non-tenure track faculty position. The successful applicant will teach and mentor graduate professional physician assistant students in the didactic and clinical phases. Teaching activities include classroom and hybrid teaching, small cased-based learning groups, simulation-based education, clinical procedures, and interprofessional education, while teaching in areas of expertise or program needs. Responsibilities also include student advisement, evaluation of students, course management, program admissions, program evaluation and accreditation, and service on program and school committees. Clinical practice is encouraged and requires licensure in the state of Indiana. Faculty members have opportunities and support for scholarly activity and faculty development.

Job Duties: 70% Teaching 20% Service/Engagement 10% Scholarship

Basic Qualifications: · Physician assistant degree at master’s degree level or higher. · NCCPA certification · Demonstrated potential for success in teaching.  · Experience in physician assistant education, including lecturing, precepting, and/or participating in clinical skills labs.   Preferred Qualifications: · Clinical experience in surgery, procedures, and/or hospital medicine preferred.   The Department of Physician Assistant Studies is part of a dynamic academic and research community that includes eight departments in the School of Health and Human Sciences (SHHS), 15 research labs and institutes, and over 400 clinical and community partnerships.
