Opening Details

Williams College, a Division III institution and a member of the New England Small College Athletics Conference (NESCAC), invites applications for an Assistant Football Coach for the academic year 2022-2023. This is a full time, 12-month, term appointment renewable on an annual basis, with a salary of $32,100 and comes with a full-board meal plan and benefits. The candidate in this position will be working with either an Offensive or Defensive Skill group.

Williams College Football is a program rich in tradition. After 133 seasons, Williams currently ranks 6thin Division III all-time victories with 649 wins, and 12 unbeaten seasons. In 2017 Williams was the most improved football team in the country. The 2021 team went 9-0 and won the NESCAC Championship. The focus at Williams is developing dynamic student athletes and making football a vital part of the academic experience.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Football Coach in all areas including:
  • Coach assigned Group, including practice and in-game.
  • Assist with special teams
  • Recruit qualified student athletes from designated geographic areas
  • Coordinate video system
  • Be committed to student athlete development
  • Assist with administrative office duties
  • Perform other duties assigned by the head coach


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
  • College coaching/playing experience is preferred but not required.
  • Proficient with DVSport video editing system
  • Experience working with Microsoft Visio and Excel
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of colleagues and students
  • Knowledge of and commitment to NCAA and NESCAC rules
  • Successful candidates will be self-motivated and possess the ability to recruit, teach, and coach student athletes in a challenging academic environment
  • Valid driver’s license is required
