The right candidate will demonstrate outside-of-the-box thinking about enrollment strategies, excellent collaboration skills, and the ability to support our diverse community of learners while maximizing the experience and expertise of over 100 enrollment management professionals under their leadership.
The Chief Enrollment Officer serves as a senior member of the President's Cabinet, exercising management of core enrollment systems and lateral influence on University strategy, structures, and resources. The successful Chief Enrollment Officer demonstrates proficiency in four required competency areas: enrollment strategy, resource management, staff development and lateral leadership to other branches and faculty.

This leader will guide the development and implementation of a Strategic Enrollment Management Plan, which includes the goal of maintaining Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) status. This individual is responsible for ensuring that the budget, planning, and operational functions and services of the Offices of Admissions, Registrar, Financial Aid, Orientation, Transfer, and Re-Engagement, Testing Services, and Enrollment Systems and Operations work in concert to support the MSU Denver mission. Reporting to the Vice President for Student Affairs, the Chief Enrollment Officer will ensure integration of these services, as well as services across Student Engagement & Wellness and the Classroom to Career Hub, to provide a student-centered experience that supports all MSU Denver learners.

As a highly relational leader, the Chief Enrollment Officer works closely with the Provost, academic unit deans and associate deans, and the broader faculty to facilitate student recruitment, retention, and graduation success. The role requires collaboration with Information Technology Services to develop and implement appropriate technology and systems to ensure a coordinated enrollment management effort and cohesive, efficient, and effective service delivery.

MSU Denver believes that student success is built on a foundation of community engagement, including our enrollment strategies focused on student success. The Chief Enrollment Officer will spend significant time building relationships with communities beyond the University as well, including school district leaders, community organizations, scholarship foundations, and more.
