The Opportunity

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University - Worldwide is currently accepting applications for Associate Director of Digital Pedagogy within the Academic Innovation Team. The Associate Director of Digital Pedagogy will play a key role in teaching and learning for the ERAU Worldwide Campus. The Academic Innovation team is made up of diverse skill sets and individuals, including Software Developers, UX Research Analysts, eLearning Support Specialists, Instructional Technologists, Instructional Designers, and Instructional Consultants. The team works collaboratively to apply expertise to create and implement innovative solutions and to identify tools and technologies that address big challenges in education. The ideal candidate will seek to constantly innovate through continued evaluation of existing solutions and by staying informed about industry trends.

The Associate Director of Digital Pedagogy will work as part of the Larger Academic Innovation Division within the Rothwell Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence (RCTLE). RCTLE supports ERAU-Worldwide faculty as they provide outstanding educational experiences to our students. The Associate Director of Digital Pedagogy will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on course design and faculty engagement through training, collaboration and scholarship.

Job Responsibilities Include:
  • Collaborating with RCTLE team, Academic Innovation counterparts, ERAU-Worldwide departments, and college leaders to create a culture of quality course design and delivery

  • Provide training related to design and implementation standards, curriculum development, alignment and authentic assessment.

  • Supervise and support the RCTLE mission by overseeing Digital Assets that support faculty development and encourage continuous improvement.

  • Engage with professional organizations such as Quality Matters and OLC and conduct research to stay current in best practices in course development, teaching, and learning.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in e ducation, curriculum and instruction, instructional design, educational Leadership, instructional technology, or a related field.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
  • Must be familiar with new and effective models and practices in developing, mapping, and delivering curriculum as well as instructional design methods.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
  • Certifications for QM, OSCR, OLC, or other standards is preferred.
  • Online and Higher Ed teaching experience preferred.
