Job Purpose
Teach 24 credit hours (8 courses) in Social Work over a two-semester academic year or a mix of courses and administrative duties directing Field Education for BASW and MASW students that is equivalent to 24 credit hours, as assigned by the department chair and approved by the CHEH Dean.
- Teaching graduate and undergraduate social work curriculum; exact percentage depends on effort assigned to administrative duties related to Field Experiences.
- Service by participating in committees at the department, college, and university level as approved by the department chair and CHEH
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from a Council of Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited program awarded prior to start date. Two (2) years post-MSW social work experience at the time of application. LSW or equivalent eligible. Excellent communication, organizations and multi-tasking skills with proven ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated personal commitment to the values of social work, including but not limited to anti-racism, anti-oppression practice and social justice. Ability to travel to make in-person visits to field experience locations to ensure appropriate student progression.
