Are you a motivated self-starter who enjoys working with
individuals of all ages? The University of Southern Maine is
seeking Summer Robotics Camp Counselors and welcomes the
opportunity to speak with you about this summer opportunity!
The Summer Robotics Camp Counselor
is responsible for
day-to-day operation of the day camps. Each camp consists of up to
16 campers, ages 9 to 17, depending on the camp. Responsibilities
include working with the campers and other staff, giving short
educational presentations to the campers, securing of the facility
(room), resolving equipment problems, and in general providing the
mentorship for the campers. Camps may include local (walking) field
trips or transported field trips.
The University of Southern Maine’s STEM Outreach Program is part of
the College of Science, Technology and Health and oversees the
Maine Robotics programs, along with the Southworth Planetarium, and
coordinates numerous K-12 STEM outreach programs that reside at

the last week of June.
Up to 16 campers.
1-6 weeks depending on location.
Ranges from $12.75-16.75/hour dependent upon
educational attainment, degrees, and experience.

Counselors are expected to work up to 40 hours per week. Overtime
is unusual and requires prior approval.
