Job Description

The Agricultural Technology Program consists of two years of education, leading to an Associate of Agriculture Degree. Our mission is to provide quality graduates that fulfill technical and management level needs in the rapidly changing and diverse agricultural and green industries. We combine the application of subject matter learned in the classroom and lab settings to real world situations in agricultural and green industries. We are seeking applicants for an academic year, non-tenure track, instructor position. The faculty member will be expected to teach two to three courses per semester. Specific courses will include but are not limited to; Personal Finance, Applied Ag Math, Intro to Agribusiness and Financial Mgt., Personnel Mgt. and Sales, Whole Farm Planning, Leadership Capstone. Additional responsibilities will include student retention and assisting with planned recruitment and program activities. Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of the director.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in agribusiness or related agricultural or green industry field, a B.S. in business with agribusiness course work, and teaching experience
• Demonstrated success in teaching with styles and methods that emphasize hands-on, practical, science -based learning experiences
• A strong background, industry based and/or academic, in production agriculture, landscaping, or turfgrass business management
• Excellent communication, human relations, and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Agribusiness
• Experience teaching in a post-secondary setting
• Industry experience
