  This position is responsible for the medical needs of campers and staff during an 8-week summer camp program for ages 6-15. The Nurse will have final say regarding someone attending camp if not well in the morning and will take pride in the health and safety of campers and staff.
  
  
  
  PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  
  

1. Quickly assesses medical situations and takes care of injuries that may occur.
2. Keeps the Camp Director informed of any serious medical issues.
3. Administers medication or epi pens if needed, keep accurate records/logs, file and organizes children’s medical records, keeps track of medical supplies, and replenishes when needed.
4. Communicates with parents, staff, and campers on a regular basis.
5. Follow CDC and NJ Board of Health and College guidance regarding COVID-19.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• New Jersey Registered Nurse
• Two years of experience
• Able to think quick and make important decisions for well-being of students and staff regarding medical care
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with children and adults
• Familiar with Covid-19 precautions and guidelines.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Three years of experience
• Current School or Camp Nurse
• Experience working with children ages 6-15
• Experience working with COVID-19 safeguards and precautions

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION:


SCHEDULE: June 27, 2022 to August 19, 2022 (No camp on July 4)

Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Will also consider 8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. schedules
