VCU Athletics is actively recruiting a Director of the Ram Athletic Fund. The mission of VCU Athletics is to win conference and national championships, provide a first-class student-athlete experience, serve as a source of pride for the University and community and cultivate graduates who excel as leaders. The Director of the Ram Athletic Fund is responsible for cultivating, soliciting, and securing annual gifts that support the mission of VCU Athletics. Reporting to the Sr. Associate AD for Development, this position works collaboratively with the Development staff to increase annual gift participation and donations.

Minimum Hiring Standards:

- A Bachelor’s degree or or training and work experience at a level that equates to Bachelor's degree;
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student
environment or commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU;
- Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years’ experience in fundraising required, preferably at
the NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletics level;
- Strong oral and written communication skills; and
- Demonstrated knowledge of fundraising principles.

Preferred Hiring Standards:

-An advanced degree or training and work experience at a level that equates to an
advanced degree;
- Three (3) years’ experience in fundraising, preferably at the NCAA Division I
intercollegiate athletics level;
- Working knowledge of Paciolan software; and
- Demonstrated knowledge of donor management software.
