The New England School of Communications at Husson University is
looking for an instructor for Fall 2022 to teach techniques in MC
223 Reporting & Writing for Web & Print to students in a
project based environment.This course offers in-depth practice in
developing effective written communication, especially for
newspapers and magazines. Course topics emphasize news judgment,
objectivity and style. Students weave the practical and conceptual
elements of journalism together by writing news stories and
features that pertain to current events of significant public
interest. Assignments for this course are done both in the
classroom and in the greater Bangor community. The class is
scheduled to run Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:00am-9:15 am
(8/29/22-12/16/22).
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
The successful candidate would have at a minimum a Masters Degree in a related Communications field. Professional experience as a reporter and/or writer for a professional news organization is preferred. Experience in teaching is preferred.
