The Assistant Director of Internships & Experiential Education is an integral part of the Career Services Team.

Job duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provides career counseling for all students with particular focus on preparing students for internships and experiential opportunities. Assists in interpreting career assessments including Myers Briggs, Strong Interest Inventory, and Strengths Finder.

  • Develops and facilitates career-related workshops.

  • Develops and maintains relationships with employers for the purpose of internships and other opportunities. Develops and maintains relationships with faculty to ensure high quality internship experiences for students. Responsible for the internship program including marketing, managing, and evaluating the internship program.

  • Assists in hiring and managing student employees.

  • Regular attendance is an essential function to perform the duties of this position.

Job Requirements:

  • Master's degree in college student personnel, higher education, human resources, communications, or related field required.

  • Three (3) or more years of experience in higher education preferred.

  • Experience facilitating workshops/programs required.

  • Experience counseling/advising students required.

  • Experience with Myers Briggs, Strong Interest Inventory, and/or Strengths Finder preferred.

  • Experience with Qualtrics preferred.
