The Open Society University Network (OSUN) seeks a program coordinator to support the important work of the 40-plus partner institutions that are part of its global network. This position will assist the leadership team in policy development and implementation, play a key role in growing and coordinating the faculty mobility program, and work closely with the leadership team to coordinate meetings with partners and working groups.

The Program Coordinator will take point on managing the daily operations of the OSUN Faculty Mobility Program in collaboration with colleagues from across the network. A program designed to strengthen bonds throughout the network and spur collaboration on teaching, course design, curriculum development, scholarship, research, and civic engagement. These collaborations strive to foster academic integration, which will in turn expand opportunities for students to engage diverse global perspectives more fully.

The Program Coordinator reports to the OSUN Director of Program Development at Bard College, based in Annandale, New York. This is a full-time, 12-month, exempt position.

The successful candidate will excel at working in a community that is broadly diverse with regard to race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender, nationality, sexual orientation, and religion.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain contact lists, monitor deadlines, and execute communication plans in cooperation with the OSUN team.
  • Develop and implement procedures and processes to facilitate coordination among OSUN partner institutions
  • Coordinate and track progress of OSUN working groups and committees
  • Prepare and track check requests, wire requests, activity agreements, and other documentation related to the financial administration of the faculty mobility program.
  • Compile data on OSUN programs for reports
  • Coordinate travel and meeting logistics
  • Budget monitoring and oversight
  • Contribute to faculty preparation for mobility programs
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree. Master's degree preferred.
  • International experience required.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, written, and intercultural communication skills
  • Prior experience working with budgets and financial processes
  • Acute attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office, G-Suite, and database management
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and access to higher education for underserved communities
  • A self-starter with a positive attitude who finds that no task is too small and all tasks are integral to OSUN’s success
  • International experience strongly preferred
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and work in standard office environment
  • Must be able to occasionally lift 20 pounds
  • Must be able to work occasional weekends and evenings as needed
