Colgate University Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences Two Visiting Positions in Psychological Science

The Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at Colgate University invites applications for two Visiting Assistant Professor positions in Psychological Science beginning fall semester 2022. One position will be in the area of cognitive psychology, and the other in social, personality, developmental, or clinical psychology. Both positions may have the possibility of renewal for an additional year.

The teaching load for each position is equivalent to five courses per year. Area of specialty is open. Successful candidates will be expected to teach staff-taught courses (e.g., Introduction to Psychological Science, Research Methods, or Statistics), electives in the candidate’s specialty area, and supervision of senior thesis work (which normally counts as one course). Successful candidates may also be expected to participate in all-university programs, including the Liberal Arts Core Curriculum. Completion of a Ph.D. in Psychology is required prior to, or shortly after, the date of hire.
