Graduate Assistant- Women's Volleyball

Job Description

The Graduate Assistant (GA) will provide support and operational assistance to the Head and Assistant Women’s Volleyball Coaches. The GA receives graduate school tuition covering up to a maximum of 9 credit hours per semester as well as a monthly stipend.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES :
  • Update and maintain recruiting database and communications
  • Organize team travel logistics
  • Assist with video analysis and scouting reports
  • Assists with daily coaching
  • Plans practices/workouts
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree
Employment is contingent on acceptance into MWSU Graduate School (2.75 GPA required for admission).

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of University and NCAA rules and regulations; possess the requisite qualities for the profession including volleyball experience as an athlete and/or coach; be able to handle a high workload in a demanding environment and be well organized; excellent interpersonal skills; be able to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information and issues; able to work independently.

Physical Demands

Light Work; exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
