Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Position Description: Benedictine University’s Goodwin College of Business invites applications for a professional faculty appointment at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor commensurate with experience.

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in project management, strategic management, and operations management. Faculty must also conduct produce written scholarship (books, instructional materials) or original research in the discipline leading to presentations and publication by academic/professional publishers or refereed journals, engage with the business community and profession, and contribute to the College and University goals and priorities.

The Goodwin College offers undergraduate B.B.A. degrees, an MBA, MS in Business Analytics, MS in Management and Organizational Behavior, and doctoral programs in Organization Development and Values-Driven Leadership. A Project Management concentration/certificate is available to all mastersdegree seeking students in the Goodwin College.

The mission of the Goodwin College is to educate, engage, and prepare traditional and post-traditional learners for careers and career-advancement in business through academic excellence, close facultystudent interaction, and experiential learning experiences, all inspired by the Benedictine Hallmarks. The Goodwin College is in the very early stages in preparing to seek AACSB accreditation.

Located in Lisle, Illinois, a western suburb of Chicago, Benedictine University is located within an outstanding, internationally-connected business and investment community. The Goodwin College is located in the campus’s newest facility: Daniel L. Goodwin Hall of Business. Equipped with an analytics/trading lab and flexible classrooms, Goodwin Hall is Benedictine’s premier campus learning facility.

Required Qualifications:



• Graduate degree, doctorate preferred, in business/management or related field from a regionally-accredited institution with preference in an AACSB accredited business school. ABD candidates will also be considered.

• Experience in teaching, preference to those with experience and/or desire for both in-person and online modalities.

• Evidence of scholarly/research accomplishments or potential.

• Ability to work harmoniously with colleagues, students, and the community within the framework of Benedictine Values and Catholic traditions.
