Yes Duties and Responsibilities
We seek a part-time, post-doctoral fellow to support an Illinois State Board of Education ( ISBE ) funded project on school-based discipline equity. This project funding will support the evaluation and implementation of tiered practices in school districts that are working to mitigate the unnecessary and disparate use of exclusionary discipline practices. This position is temporary, but there is a possibility of renewal.

Successful candidates will have advanced quantitative analysis skills, with expertise in handling large data sets. Experience with qualitative research is desired. The candidate should have experience planning, conducting and evaluating applied school-based research. Grant management skills, including tracking data and the implementation of practice components is essential. The post-doctoral fellow will collaborate with the funder, grant staff, and school-based partners. Travel to implementation schools and grant convenings are required. Candidates should also demonstrate a strong interest in urban education and dedication to serving a diverse student body consistent with Loyola University Chicago’s commitment to advancing social justice through transformative education. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Earned doctorate in Research Methodology, Social Work, School Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or related field
  • Quantitative research experience,
  • Experience in supporting and/or managing grants and logistics, including tracking that grant objectives and deliverable are met

  • Qualitative research experience
  • School-based applied research experience
