Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full-time, Limited Term Assistant Professor or Limited Term Instructor of English faculty position in the Department of English that begins in August 2022.
Responsibilities
Kennesaw State University invites applications for a one-year Limited Term faculty position to teach general education English courses. Limited Term faculty positions are non-tenure track and contingent upon funding. The current teaching load is 5/5, with a primary focus on first-year composition. Faculty teach courses in a variety of modalities, including face-to-face, hybrid, and online.
Required Qualifications Include
Applicants must have at minimum:
- For Limited Term Instructor - a Master’s degree in English, or foreign equivalent, or a closely related field with at least 18 hours of graduate coursework in English
- For Limited Term Assistant Professor – a terminal degree, or its foreign equivalent, in English, or a closely related field
Preferred Qualifications Include
Ideal candidates will have coursework in composition and
rhetoric. Candidates with experience teaching at KSU are encouraged
to apply. A commitment to excellence in teaching is expected of all
faculty members in KSU’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Experience in teaching and/or certification in hybrid or online
formats and pedagogies is recommended. Ideal candidates will have
experience teaching college composition and/or tutoring in college
writing centers.
