Job Summary

The CNC Lab Specialist will work closely with the instructor to set up, prepare and troubleshoot equipment in the CNC and MTT labs.

Required Qualification(s)

-High School diploma or equivalent.
-Verifiable experience in setting-up and operating CNC equipment.

Desired Qualification(s)

-Enrollment in a CNC / MTT career program OR completion of such a program.

Special Instructions Summary

This is a part-time flex position and employment shall be on an at-will basis, the duration of which shall be in accordance with the needs of the College of Lake County.
Part-time flex employees are not eligible to participate in any benefits program at the College, including tuition reimbursement, tuition waiver, health insurance or paid time off.

Summary of Essential Functions

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
1. Setting-up, operating and troubleshooting common machine shop and manufacturing equipment.
2. Working with instructors to enhance or create new lab exercises.
3. Working with instructors to develop piece parts for dimensional measuring exercises.
4. Using Mastercam and setting-up/running CNC machines to create lab exercises.
