Job Description Summary
The Department of Anatomy, Physiology and Pharmacology, within the College of Veterinary Medicine at Auburn University, invites applications for a nine-month, non-tenure track Lecturer position in Histology and Neuroscience. Responsibilities will include assistance in the instruction of general histology and neuroscience in the first-year professional veterinary curriculum. This will include but not be limited to lectures and laboratory instruction, preparation and grading of activities, and student mentoring.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include a PhD in Biomedical Sciences or equivalent degree at the time employment begins. The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements for work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the term of employment. Excellent communication skills are required.
Desired Qualifications
Experience in teaching of histology and neuroscience with demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching at the university level is desired. Individuals with an interest in interactive, technology-rich and evidence-based teaching and those who have pursued opportunities for professional development in this area will be desired.
