Associates Degree with 1 year of experience setting up and maintaining research supplies and material related to basic science research.

A research lab in the department of Pharmacology and Toxicology seeks an Instructional Support Assistant for a part-time position working 4 days per week.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Store, maintain, issue and set up specialized educational and research supplies and material related to ongoing research.
- Operate such material during demonstrations and lectures or instruct faculty or student assistants in the operation of such material.
- Conduct experiments, recording and analyzing the results under the supervision of senior instructional personnel.
- Receptor binding experiments using a low level radioactive drug requiring tissue preparation, setting up all materials and equipment; prepare drug dilutions, dispense reagents into tubes, filter samples, place filters in glass tubes and then use the gamma counter to determine level of activity radioactivity in each filter. Complete analysis and plotting of all binding experiments using Excel, Graph Pad/Prism software, and other computer software as necessary.
- Help in ordering supplies for ongoing research and help with general upkeep of the laboratory
- Maintain all regulatory/compliance forms and be present for lab inspections; monitor work of students.
- Ability to learn brain section and immunohistochemical techniques.
