Position Summary:

The Music and Theatre Department in the College of Humanities and Fine Arts is collecting application materials for a pool of part-time lecturers with positions available as determined by need during the 2022-23 academic year. Appointments from the part-time pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term.

Minimum Qualifications:

The minimum education requirement for a lecturer appointment is a Bachelor of Arts or Sciences degree or extensive professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingual candidates will be given preference.

Responsibilities:

Lecturer positions in the department carry responsibilities in the area of teaching undergraduate courses. Teaching assignments are based upon qualifications of the individual and the needs of the department.

The Department of Music and Theatre offers a BA in Music with Options in Music Education, General Music, Recording Arts, and Music Industry; a BA in Theatre Arts; a BFA in Musical Theatre; as well as minors in Theatre, Dance, and Music. https://www.csuchico.edu/muta/
