Job Description

· Conceptualizes and creates designs, concepts, and layouts based on knowledge of design principles

· Develops and creates graphics for wide variety of print and online publications, illustrations, collateral materials, website, and video and social media channels

· Designs digital graphics, flyers, brochures, rack cards, posters, and logos for use

· Conceptualizes, designs, implements, and maintains innovative and cutting edge high-quality designs for print, website, collateral materials, and social media channels

· Creates, shoots, edits and produces short videos with short timelines

· Coordinates production schedules to ensure projects and assignments are delivered in a timely manner

· Manages client art requests from initial submission through design, print, and production. Work with clients, briefing and advising them in regards to style, format, production, and timelines

· Allocates resources to maximize efficiency and creativity in the building and maintenance of consistent branding

· Updates and optimizes the public-facing departmental websites

· Consult with department directors on best web practices

· Assists with developing and implementing controls, policies and procedures as deemed necessary and appropriate for OSI Media Production team to run smoothly, effectively and to ensure all student organizations and department staff

· Completes duties and responsibilities in compliance with University standards, policies and guidelines.

· Uses interpersonal skills and makes sound judgments to decide how duties and responsibilities are completed between coworkers, the supervisory chain, staff, and students

· Oversees the administrative functions of the program area including maintenance of the website; coordination of communication for students, advisors, and student organization members; production of grade reports; and financial processes for media production activities and services

· Conducts assessment and evaluates initiatives utilizing assessment instruments to identify the extent to which media production activities support the University’s mission and vision and student development

· Attends Division of Student Affairs meetings, programs, and professional development opportunities as assigned by supervisor

· This list of duties, tasks, and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned

Shift

Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm (some nights and weekends as needed)

Salary

$16.92 - $30.68/hr

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in graphic design, photography, and videography with demonstrated people skills and expertise in planning, designing, production methods, and management

Experience working in a team-oriented environment with other content creators, designers, and editors

Knowledge of digital photography and ability to shoot images for multiple content platforms

Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign

Demonstrated professional experience in graphic design and experience designing for print and digital platforms

Demonstrated experience in organizing, conceptualizing, and prioritizing objectives and managing a high volume of projects

Minimum of three (3) years experience in graphic design, social media or related field
