Job Description

The Hunt Library, located on the Daytona Beach Campus of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU), is recruiting for an Associate Director for Access Services, a non-tenure track position. As a member of the library Management Team, the successful candidate will manage the Access Services (Circulation and Interlibrary Loan) department, facilitate collaborative relationships between the library and campus partners, and participate in library administration.

Duties include:
  • Leading the Access Services department.
  • Supervising the Interlibrary Loan Librarian and five circulation technicians.
  • Participating in library administration.
  • Maintaining and updating circulation functions in the Alma LSP.
  • Coordinating hours of service and security for the library facility.
  • Collaborating on library budgeting and planning with the Management Team.
  • Serving as the point person between the library and campus partners.
Qualifications

Required qualifications:
  • ALA-accredited master’s degree in library or information science
  • A minimum of two years management experience, including supervision of full-time employees
  • Library access services/circulation experience
  • Experience with Alma (or relevant LSP) circulation functions
  • Ability to work in a diverse environment and interact and collaborate with individuals of different backgrounds
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
Preferred qualifications:
  • Academic library experience
  • Experience collaborating with organizational partners
  • Experience coordinating teams
