Job Summary
The Office of the Vice President for University Outreach is currently accepting applications for the position of Director of Corporate and Community Partnerships.
This position will be responsible for forging and formalizing relationships with local, state and national partners for the purpose of advancing the outreach mission of the university through financial resource development.
Essential Functions
- Forge and formalize relationships with state and national corporate and community partners to support Outreach programs and activities.
- Oversee the development and distribution of promotional materials for all Outreach unit activities and programs.
- Prepares and distributes reports related to outreach impact, financial acquisitions and programs and activities developed as a result of financial acqusitions.
- Oversee and direct campaigns and/or presentation proposals related to Outreach funding priorities.
- Coordinate grant development workshops as well as other development training opportunities for unit directors.
- Develop and execute strategic plan to advance Outreach programs and activities in coordination with all Outreach Directors, VP and AVP
Education Level
Master's degree from an accredited institution

Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Higher Education Administration or related field.

Knowledge of IRS gift regulations, fundraising techniques and strategies and accounting and budgeting principles and practices. Ability to plan and implement fundraising programs and marketing strategies. Must demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication ability as well as relationship building skills. Must be comfortable presenting in front of large groups.

Minimum Skills and Abilities
Incumbent must have experience working in higher education and specifically with developing partnerships for the purpose of programmatic advancement. Must have a deep understanding of all Outreach Departments, programs and functions. Grant writing experience is preferred. Incumbent must have a demonstrated record of success in securing external funding for organizations.
Minimum Technology Skills
Must be able to effectively utilize basic data management software as well as Microsoft Office software and other presentation software as available.
Minimum License and Certifications
Valid driver’s license.

Event planning skills are desirable. 8 Years experince is preferred. Grant writing experience is desirable.
