Xavier University is currently seeking two full-time (academic
year) Elementary II (9-12) Assistant Teacher and Elementary I (6-9)
Assistant Teacher for the Montessori Laboratory School. This
position is responsible for supporting the Elementary I & II
teachers in creating a developmentally appropriate classroom
founded in Montessori philosophy that serves children’s unique
nature and is reflective of the practices of the Xavier University
Montessori Teacher Education Program. Other responsibilities
include planning lessons to support all areas of the Montessori
elementary curriculum, providing continuous assessment including
portfolios, regular written observations, and written reflections
as well as other duties.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required. Bachelor's degree in education
