The Online MSW Program at Syracuse University invites applications for a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure-track position at the rank of assistant teaching professor beginning August 2021 . The initial appointment may be for up to three years and is renewable dependent on program need and instructor performance. A candidate in this position will teach and/or develop online courses at the graduate level. As with all faculty positions, there is an expectation to engage in service in the college, university, profession, and community.

Qualifications
MSW Required. Doctorate degree preferred.

Candidate must have the communication skills and cross-cultural abilities to maximize effectiveness with diverse groups of students, colleagues, and community members. Experience with online curriculum development and online instruction is preferable. Professional Post Masters Social Work Practice consistent with CSWE standards is required for candidates hired to teach Practice Courses.

Job Specific Qualifications Responsibilities
1. Teach 4 courses in Fall, Spring, and Summer Semesters

2. Carry an advising load of graduate students as assigned

3. Participate in curriculum maintenance, development, and assessment within the department

4. Engage in committee work and service activities in the department, college, university, profession, and community as appropriate.
