The Syracuse University Experimental Gravitational-Wave Group is soliciting applications for a post- doctoral researcher position for research on technology for current and future gravitational-wave detectors. Experience in one of the following areas is desired: optics, electronics, interferometer control, wave front control, cryogenics and coatings for gravitational-wave detectors. The successful candidate will work on designing and testing technology for future gravitational-wave detectors. The candidate should have a Ph.D. in physics, engineering, or a related field. The initial appointment is for one year with the possibility for renewal. The position involves both research and advising graduate students in the group. Qualified candidates should submit their curriculum vitae, a list of publications, a short description of their qualifications, and the e-mail addresses/phone numbers of three references to the online position posting.
