Job Description:

The Associate Coordinator, Financial Aid position is a full-time career service position. The Associate Coordinator, Financial Aid will provide technical assistance in federal, state, and institutional reporting responsibilities and fulfill college-wide duties as assigned. The successful candidate will participate in and provide Financial Aid, Veteran Services, and Scholarship expertise during student recruitment activities; provide compliance and processing training and dissemination of new Financial Aid, Veteran Services, and Scholarship policies to impacted areas; review individual files for accuracy and completeness; award federal and institutional financial aid to students; and audit subsequent scheduled disbursements. This position will be primarily located at the Pensacola Campus but may be assigned to work at various campuses in support of student enrollment at the College. A flexible work schedule, including some evenings and weekends, will be required. This position reports to the Director, Financial Aid, Veteran Services, and Scholarships.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate’s degree OR graduation from high school or GED equivalency and two years of experience in a customer service setting. Successful results of a criminal background check are required.

Pursuant to College policy, it is an employment eligibility requirement for an applicant to meet the requirements of § 435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations. Any person failing to meet the requirements of the statute will be deemed not qualified to hold employment in this position. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate as a condition of employment, and any person who fails to disclose any adverse information contained in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application will be disqualified from employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Prefer familiarity with and understanding of federal and state financial aid regulations; experience working in a high volume/high traffic customer service office; experience determining eligibility for assistance based on compliance regulations; and experience in a document scanning environment.

ANNUAL SALARY: $29,400.00 ($15.08/hour)
