Position Summary
The Department of Physiology and Biophysics is seeking a tenure track faculty member at the Assistant Professor level. We seek a candidate who uses cutting-edge approaches to address physiological problems that have strong translational relevance. Successful candidates will complement existing strengths in the department, including, but not limited to, neurobiology of neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders and the physiology and pathophysiology of the cardiovascular, gastrointestinal and renal systems. We encourage applications from those studying basic and translational mechanisms of the brain-periphery interplay. We are also interested in candidates whose research approaches involve innovative in vivo technologies. Candidates should have an Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree in a relevant field and have proven success in conducting research as demonstrated by impactful publications and grant funding.
In this position, you will develop an internationally recognized research program, excel in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and will be active in service in the department and school.
