Adjunct Cataloging Librarian


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manages cataloging unit functions. Responsible for updating practices and creating new workflows as needed. This includes performing cataloging work and assigning work to the staff.
  • Help and train cataloging staff with new resources and workflows as needed.
  • Original cataloging of audio materials
  • Original cataloging of visual materials
  • Original cataloging of complex materials beyond staff expertise
  • Keep up with advances and initiatives in the Cataloging field to update practices or create new workflows.
  • Awareness and dedication to the trends in diversity initiatives in cataloging such as Critical Librarianship (‘critlib') and Radical Cataloging (‘radcat')
  • Other projects as assigned
