Job Description:

The Executive Talent Acquisition Search Advocate will serve as a representative of the College of Medicine internal executive search team with a primary focus on coordinating processes in order to attract and hire superior talent and drive efficient and strategic search solutions at the College of Medicine.

The Office of Human Resources (HR) invites applications for the position of Executive Talent Acquisition Search Advocate to serve as a key member of the HR team at an exciting time of growth and innovation for the college. We are building a new executive recruiting team to support the executive and faculty search processes in the college and strategic direction and objectives of the executive recruitment department. This position will play a vital in the success of these exciting strategic initiatives. The incumbent will serve as a subject matter expert to hiring departments throughout the college assisting in the development and implementation of operational processes to facilitate effective and premier recruitment strategies. Keeping with latest trends and resources, the Search Advocate will assist the hiring departments in determining the best venues to source candidates, assist in implementing strategies to reach both active and passive candidates, develop methodologies in selecting and assessing candidates, and creating and monitoring the recruitment process. Job responsibilities will include:

Recruitment/Talent Acquisition:
  • Support the Assistant Director of Executive Talent Acquisition and Onboarding with strategic input into research, development, evaluation, and the implementation of new products, services, and technology to enhance the college’s recruitment program.
  • Serve as an expert advocate, consultant, coach, and organizational leader regarding talent acquisition.
  • Serve as the spokesperson of the internal search team with a primary focus to oversee the hiring of the best talent and drive efficient and strategic search solutions at the College of Medicine.
  • Develop a positive and memorable recruitment experience for applicants.
  • Guide and assist the search process for timely and desired outcomes; promote the College of Medicine’s goal of leading the nation in cultivating an inclusive workplace that celebrates diversity and inclusion while creating space for equity and access.
  • Recommend cost-effective options in sourcing for qualified diverse applicants.
  • Advise the best method in assessing candidates.
  • Draft letters to search committee members, ensure required trainings are complete, members are aware of their roles on the committee, and that members are engaged and informed during the selection process.
  • Provide, upon request, full recruitment cycle service to assist hiring departments in high-level positions and serve as a lead on various recruitment-related projects.
  • Assist in implementing a result-driven comprehensive recruitment plan consistent with the college and department’s strategic visions.
  • Support the Assistant Director of Executive Talent Acquisition and Onboarding with strategic input into research, development, evaluation, and the implementation of new products, services, and technology to enhance the college’s recruitment program.
Administration:
  • Provide recruitment services using creative sourcing solutions.
  • Create itineraries for incoming candidate visits.
  • Assist with the relocation process by compiling local resource materials for Gainesville and the surrounding area.
  • Manage posting activities to ensure minimal “posting-to-filled” timeframe and optimal hire quality through generating reports and providing summarized recruitment data to hiring departments.
  • Review applicants, advise departments on potential hires, and clear finalists.
Expected Salary:

$65,000 - $75,000; commensurate with education and experience

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), HRCI Professional in Human Resources (PHR), or HRCI Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) preferred.
  • Knowledge of current recruitment trends and metrics.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage projects, ability to see the big picture and attend to details.
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and authentic relationship with others.
  • Professional behavior and demeanor, comfortable interacting with people at various levels and from diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience utilizing social media for recruiting, marketing or other professional purposes.
  • Experience in and thorough understanding of higher education and other mission-focused organizations.
