VCUarts Summer Pre-College Instructor (Non Benefited)
Description of the Job:
The VCU School of the Arts seeks instructors to teach in the Summer Pre-College Program for High School Students: July 11-29, 2022. Training and orientation equivalent to three hours will be required of the candidate prior to the start of the program.

Responsibilities include:
- Complete required youth training delivered by the Mary and Frances Youth Center
- Lesson planning and interdisciplinary instruction for high school students in fine arts, design, or performing arts
- Create a course syllabus and daily projects/assignments
- Participate in the overall skills development of the students through discussion, critique, evaluation
- Plan an end of program event such as an exhibition
- Ensure quality and effectiveness of the Summer Pre-College Program
- Enforce Program policies and procedures at all times
- Other duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator
- BFA degree, or current MFA student with college-level teaching, or assistant teaching experience
- High energy, enthusiastic, enjoy working with creative and passionate students
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Masters degree with high school or college level teaching experience
Salary Range: Commensurate based on experience
